Defending Mediumship as a spiritual belief system and practice.

Defending mediumship as a beautiful spiritual belief system and practice to those who may view it as the work of the devil is not something I have been in the habit of doing in my work as a medium these last 30 years. I have always held the belief that it's not my place to convince anyone of anything. However, over the years, I've realized that part of my role as a medium is to gently open hearts and minds to the healing and transformative power of spiritual connection. While I firmly believe that true healing and guidance come from love, light, and a place of deep compassion, I also recognize that fear often stems from misunderstanding or a lack of knowledge. In those moments, I offer my work not as a tool for persuasion, but as an invitation to explore the profound peace and clarity that mediumship has brought to countless lives. It's never about convincing others, but about allowing them to witness the beauty of this practice and, perhaps, discover for themselves the profound connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.

As my journey as a medium has evolved, I've come to see myself not just as a messenger, but as an advocate for the departed—those souls who continue to exist beyond physical death, offering guidance and love from the other side. This deeper understanding of our soul's journey has been greatly enhanced through my exploration of near-death experiences (NDEs) and the profound truths they reveal about our existence, purpose, and the interconnectedness of all life. These revelations have been transformative, shaping my belief that we are all on a path of growth, learning, and spiritual evolution. With this knowledge, I feel a deep calling to share with others the peace and clarity that has come to me through these experiences. I do so not in defiance of those who may view my work as something sinister, but in the hope of spreading a message of comfort, healing, and understanding. Rather than being something dark or dangerous, mediumship is an opportunity to bring light into the lives of those who seek answers, reassuring them that our loved ones live on and that we are never truly alone. I hope that by sharing this wisdom, I can help shift the narrative away from skepticism and judgment, fostering a sense of peace and spiritual connection in the hearts of those open to receiving it.

Considerations in support of mediumship.

1. Respect for Free Will and Personal Beliefs:

Mediumship, like many spiritual practices, is based on personal experience and belief. It does not aim to impose itself on others but rather offers comfort, healing, and insight to those who seek it. Spirituality, whether through mediumship or other paths, often encourages individuals to explore their own relationship with the divine in a way that is meaningful to them.

2. The Universality of Spiritual Connection:

Many religions speak of a connection to the divine or the spirit world. Mediumship is a practice that aligns with this, helping to facilitate communication between the living and those who have passed away. In numerous faith traditions, the existence of an afterlife and the possibility of communication with spirits is acknowledged, including in Christianity, where figures like Moses and Elijah are described as having communicated with God and the deceased. Mediumship does not deny the sacredness of God or the divine but seeks to enhance the understanding of the continuity of life after death.

3. Healing and Comfort:

Mediumship, at its core, is about healing. Many people seek mediums not to "dabble in the occult" but because they are looking for closure, guidance, or comfort after losing a loved one. The messages conveyed by a medium often provide emotional healing, closure, and a sense of connection with the deceased that can bring peace and help individuals move forward in life. This intention to heal and uplift is far from malevolent.

4. Spiritual Gifts Are Recognized in Many Religions:

Most religions, including Christianity, recognize that spiritual gifts exist. These gifts include prophecy, healing, and other forms of divine communication. Mediumship can be seen as one of these gifts, which, when practiced with good intentions, aims to help others rather than to deceive or harm them. In the Bible, spiritual gifts are mentioned as means of helping others (1 Corinthians 12), and mediumship can be viewed as part of this broader spectrum of divine interaction.

5. Divine Love and Compassion as the Foundation:

At the heart of mediumship is a deep connection to love, compassion, and the divine. Mediums do not seek to challenge or defy the will of God but aim to be channels of love and healing. Many mediums operate under a strict ethical framework, ensuring that their practice is conducted with respect, dignity, and an intention to benefit others. This respect for divine love and service to others can be an important aspect when defending mediumship.

6. The Power of Personal Experience:

Finally, the defense of mediumship can draw on personal experiences. Those who have been helped by mediumship—whether through a sense of peace after a loved one has passed or through spiritual guidance in difficult times—often describe profound moments of healing and personal growth. These experiences, while personal and subjective, can be powerful testimonies to the positive impact mediumship can have in people’s lives.

In conclusion, Mediumship, when practiced with integrity and compassion, is a spiritual tool for healing, connection, and understanding. It is not the work of the devil but rather a practice that aligns with the broader spectrum of spiritual gifts, and its intention is to bring comfort and support to those who seek it. Just as with other spiritual practices, it’s important to recognize that every individual has the right to explore their own path and to find what brings them peace and understanding in this life and beyond.

Many blessings to you.
